Dr Lim is a creative, dynamic, proactive GP with a sincere personality and excellent communication skills. He grew up in Singapore and moved to Adelaide where he attended Adelaide University Medical School and graduated in 2009.
He started his general practice training in Tumby Bay in 2012 and gained his specialist qualification in 2014. He then stayed on to serve the Tumby Bay community. In 2018, Dr Lim moved back to Adelaide to undertake advanced training in palliative care and pain medicine.
Dr Han Lim has finished his palliative care fellowship and will receive his chronic pain fellowship in 2024. He is able to offer specialised appointments for these areas, combining general practice training background with advanced specialist skills. He believes that palliative care is not just about a person’s last few days and months, but quality of their life in the years leading up to that. Dr Lim wants to see you and provide support in the community from the time your illness becomes end stage.
Dr Lim has also undertaken further training in minor surgical procedures, mental health, dermatology, child health, rural medicine and aesthetic medicine. He enjoys teaching registrars and is an examiner with the RACGP. Dr Lim enjoys seeing patients of all ages to provide comprehensive care. He has no further graduate training in women’s health.
Outside of work he enjoys chilling with his dog, Oreo. He also spends much of his spare time cooking, eating, watching movies, experimental gardening and when possible, traveling.
