Dr Laura Kambuts was born and raised in Adelaide before moving to Geelong to complete medical school, spending the next decade living and training between Geelong and Melbourne.
Before entering medicine, Dr Kambuts worked as a podiatrist for many years — an experience that continues to inform a particular interest in toenail wedge resections.
Dr Kambuts completed a Diploma of Child Health and began paediatric training at the Royal Children’s Hospital, before going on to complete DRANZCOG (Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) at Mercy Hospital in Melbourne.
Alongside general practice, Dr Kambuts works weekly in emergency medicine and assists in surgery once a month, bringing a broad and practical clinical skill set to patient care.
Outside of medicine, Dr Kambuts enjoys spending time with her two children and a busy household of pets.
