Nurse Practitioner

A nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse with a Master’s degree who practices at an advanced clinical level, with the authority to diagnose, treat, and prescribe for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. We are extremely fortunate at Pear Tree to have a NP on our team to provide comprehensive care that combines clinical expertise with a holistic approach to patient wellness.

Nurse practitioners (NPs) are qualified to assess patient needs, diagnose health issues, and provide both acute and chronic care.

They can order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging, to aid in diagnosis.

NPs can prescribe a wide range of medications.

They create and manage treatment plans, which can include prescribing therapies and other interventions.

They can make referrals to other healthcare professionals and specialists as needed.
